Horsesculptures

“For me, the horse is an ultimate mover, rarely static when free, His sheer body language and strength continues to fascinate me!” (Brigitte Boss)

FORCE THAT MOVES ME – A LIVING IMAGINATION Where life remains visible

Brigitte is a self taught sculptor and started sculpting in 2015. Living and working at TAK Art Space in Speuld (Ermelo) The Netherlands. She has the ability to capture a horse’s emotional complexity. The work is characterized by the irregular surface in which Brigitte’s hand movements are clearly visible. Mobility is emanating from the image structure. The layering of the modeled elements and the use of color are reminiscent of how artists create their work. The play of light ensures the highest expression and endearment

Her objects seem to develop their properties and form, seemingly by itself. Just like that, they seem to be there immediately. She opens up to what she sees around her and creates her pictures as she sees fit, inspired by nature. Her work often includes figurative sculptures of horses in action and interaction between horses themselves. Realistic solid forms that grow to an absolute unity. The physical poses of these objects; their ears, eyes and muzzle tell a story. The viewer can however, trigger one’s own imagination as the maker has already done.

On commission, Brigitte manufactures: Full-size horse sculptures for public spaces, corporate gifts, sports trophies or images of your own horse or pony.

Her sculptures are cast in bronze as limited editions of 8 and 4 EA (Epreuve d’Artiste), each signed and numbered.
