Brigitte makes life-size bronze sculptures of horses, foals and ponies or just of the horse’s head. She has the ability to capture the emotional complexity of a horse. Her life size horse sculpture is characterized by the irregular surface in which Brigitte’s hand movements are clearly visible. Mobility arises from the image structure. The layering of the modeled elements and the use of color are reminiscent of how painters create their work. The play of light provides the highest expression and endearment
Her life size horse horse sculptures seem to develop their properties and shape, apparently by themselves. They just seem to be there right away. She is open to what she sees around her and makes her sculpture at her own discretion, inspired by nature. Realistic solid shapes that grow into an absolute unit. The physical postures of these life size horse sculpture; their posture, ears, mouth and eyes tell a story. However, the viewer can stimulate his own imagination, as the maker has already done.
Her sculptures are cast in bronze as limited editions of 8 and 4 EA (Epreuve d’Artiste), each signed and numbered.
