Bronze Trotter Sculpture Trophy
A sporting moment captured in bronze.
Brigitte created a powerful small sculpture for the European Championship for Women F.E.G.A.T. in Harness Racing Wolvega and Alkmaar The Netherlands
Last weekend, during the European Championship for female drivers in Wolvega, Brigitte Boss had the special honour of creating a bronze sculpture for the winner. A small piece – yet full of meaning.
Bronze Trotter Sculpture Trophy.
The sculpture portrays the head of a trotting horse, exactly as seen during a race. Not calm or still, but fully focused. The ears are turned back, the eyes fixed straight ahead. Every detail – from the tight jawline to the arched neck – tells a story of strength, alertness, and deep concentration.
Because harness racing is all about rhythm, control and trust between horse and driver, Brigitte chose to sculpt the head only. In that one part, everything comes together: power, obedience, intelligence, and connection. The horse listens, responds and accelerates – all without words.
This commission felt different to Brigitte. It was not just an artwork, but a tribute. Not only to the trotting horse, but also to the women in this sport, who race with elegance, determination, and precision. Their focus and discipline are remarkable – and worthy of a lasting symbol.
Carefully modelled and cast in bronze, the sculpture preserves the tension of the moment. Although the horse stands still, the image feels alive. The head radiates both calm and motion.
Thus, the European Championship was concluded not only with a victory, but with an artwork that honours the spirit of the sport. A small bronze sculpture, full of presence – and a special moment for Brigitte herself.
Quote by Brigitte Boss:
“I wanted to capture the horse’s focus and inner strength – that moment when everything comes together, without a single word being needed.”
