Racing trotter sculpture head caught in full concentration
During a race, a trotter’s head is a study in concentration. The ears point back, the eyes are focused and the nostrils open. Everything points to speed, power and cooperation. Exactly this moment has been captured in bronze by Brigitte Boss.
Head of a Trotter – tension in bronze
The sculpture does not show a stationary animal. On the contrary: the head is portrayed as it looks during the race. The tension is palpable. Every muscle is taut. This is not rest, this is movement that has just solidified.
Trotting horses are specially bred and trained. They must move across the track in a pure trot as fast as possible. In doing so, they must not fall into a gallop. If they do, the horse will be excluded. Therefore, control is essential. The head also plays a big role in this.
The ears point backwards because the horse is listening. Not to the surroundings, but to the pikeur. The cooperation between man and animal is crucial. Without trust, there is no speed. Without concentration, there is no rhythm.
Racing trotter sculpture head
Shows all that. Not with grand gesture, but in detail. The jawline, the taut skin, the expression around the eyes – everything has been carefully sculpted. Then the sculpture was cast in bronze. This preserves the energy.
Yet it is not a literal portrait. Brigitte does not opt for outward display, but for feeling. The image shows what is not immediately visible: the horse’s inner strength, its dedication and calmness under pressure.
This head is small, but powerful. A quiet moment from a world full of movement.
